Curriculum Guides / Publisher Work / Sensitivity Reads
I love working with publishers and authors to create curriculum supports and reader’s guides. With my experience as a librarian who has facilitated and created programs for all ages, I am able to create any kind of material you might be interested in, from storytime resources to book discussion guides. I am also widely read within the field. I have reasonable rates, am flexible, and offer a quick turnaround as needed. I and am happy to discuss your specific needs and even brainstorm with you what might be most useful for you and your audience. Here are some samples of my previous work:
- Discussion Guides for You Don’t Know Everything, Jilly P! and George by Alex Gino
- Discussion Guide for Dear Sweet Pea by Julie Murphy
- Discussion Guide for Coo by Kaela Noel
- Discussion Guide for Starfish by Lisa Fipps
- Educator Resource Guide for Combating Hate and Extremism for Rodman Philbrick’s We Own the Sky and Sarah Darer Littman’s Some Kind of Hate (written with Talya Sokoll)
- Read-Alikes for Grades 4-8: 13 Novels to Refresh Your Classroom Library
I am also open to doing sensitivity reads on material relating to fatness and body image or just general feedback on how to make a manuscript more appealing to a youth audience. Rates are negotiable. Contact me to discuss what we can work on together!
